About me

My work has spanned React Native mobile apps, Next.js web platforms, e-commerce websites, AWS cloud backends, and even Python edge software running on hardware. I enjoy learning about how each piece of a project fits together and getting into the weeds of any layer.

I came up through design in my early career, so I care about how products look and understand where the aesthetic meets engineering. Building and creating is my passion. I'm always pushing to learn the details of how things work, solve new challenges, and to put it simply, make cool stuff.

PowerLabs 2021 — Present Full-time

Lead Developer

  • Built a customer-facing React Native / Expo mobile app for real-time monitoring and remote control of deployable solar energy units — backed by AWS AppSync, DynamoDB, Cognito, and IoT Core
  • Architected AWS IoT fleet infrastructure: named device shadows, OTA firmware updates via IoT Jobs, and an S3 → Athena analytics pipeline
  • Developed an internal back-office web app (Next.js + AWS Bedrock AI) and a marketing website (Astro + Sanity CMS) serving the internal team and customers.
  • Established CI/CD for hardware targets: GitHub Actions → S3 → IoT Jobs with automated credential injection via EAS Secrets across dev, preview, and production profiles
